Donors who create or host an event in support of the DTRC are an important part of our fundraising team and help us build a bright future for professional dancers.

DTRC can provide the following assistance once your event has been approved:

• Advice and expertise on event planning
• A DTRC representative, current member or alumnus/alumna may be available to accept a cheque at your event
• Tax receipts if applicable
• Artwork and approval of the DTRC logo
• Support letter that validates the authenticity of your event
   

DTRC cannot provide the following:

• Funding or reimbursement for event expenses
• Mail and/or e-mail lists such as donor lists or member lists
• Guaranteed attendance of staff or volunteers at your event
• Application for gaming licenses, e.g., bingos or raffles
• Prizes, auction items, awards

Tax Receipts

The Dancer Transition Resource Centre is committed to protecting our donors’ rights and our organization’s charitable status, and adheres strictly to the Canadian Revenue Agency (CRA)’s  rules and regulations regarding tax receipting. It is very important that you discuss your situation in detail with the DTRC before you plan your event, so you understand the rules and are able to clearly communicate what you can/cannot offer in terms of tax receipts to the event participants.
