What We Do

Skills Grants

DTRC Skills Grants were created to help dancers increase their bank of transferable skills - skills which are useful in any career or retraining program.

• Available to all members in good standing

• Maximum of $1,500 per member throughout the duration of their membership.

• Courses in skills which are transferable to any profession, such as (but not limited to) second language training, computer-related courses, driving lessons, first aid/CPR training, business & entrepreneurial studies and pre-requisite courses for university/college admission.

Application For Skills Grants

Members wishing to apply for a Skills Grant must notify the Centre of their intention before they enroll in a course and must also submit a course description and details for review and approval.

Once your application has been approved, you can request reimbursement for the costs of your course. Please refer to the Grant Payments & Reimbursements information sheet for more information. Courses cannot be paid for retroactively.

Deadlines

There are no specific application deadlines for skills grants. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis throughout the year.
