This year's focus is "Stepping toward a professional career"

8:30 - 9:00 am – Registration

9:00 - 9:45 am – Introduction
Brief introduction of the various dance service organizations and funding bodies.

9:45 - 11:00 am – Jumping into the Market
Participants will learn about resume and biography writing, producing a DVD, general grant writing information, and how to brand themselves in the dance marketplace.

11:00 am - 12:15 pm – Stepping into a Contract
Dancers will learn about the importance of a contract, what to look for in a contract, how to negotiate a contract, and current professional standards in dance.

12:15 - 1:15 pm – Getting to know your Community
Participants will have the opportunity to meet invited dance community members over lunch.

1:15 - 2:45 pm – Moving through an Audition – A Panel Discussion
An open panel discussion where conference participants will be able to talk with various dance community members about their audition experiences.

2:45 - 3:30 pm – Fueling The Body
A Nutritionist will give a brief overview of the importance of fueling the body. Samples of nutritious shakes will be available to the dancers.

3:30 - 3:45 pm – Break/Change

3:45 - 5:00 pm – Mock Audition
Dance instructors from various disciplines will hold a mock audition. Instructors and panelists will discuss key audition information at various points in the class.

5:00 - 5:45 pm – Closing and Feedback
